Brooklyn Museum Café, designed by Office of Tangible Space, is a vibrant new social hub inside the iconic Brooklyn Museum in Crown Heights, New York. Inspired by the museum’s mission to bring people together through art, experience, and community, the café was envisioned as a welcoming space that feels like a Brooklyn stoop—open, inviting, playful, and memorable for all visitors. office of tangible space
Located within the museum’s bright glass pavilion designed by Ennead, the café is defined by fluid spatial organisation and bold, tactile materiality. Offices of Tangible Space laid out the interior with “islands and streams” of seating and sculptural custom tables that guide foot traffic while creating dynamic gathering zones. Perimeter soft seating, greenery, and a mix of bespoke furnishings add warmth, texture, and a sense of discovery to the space.
