Etsy Mexico City is a vibrant new office for the global online marketplace Etsy, designed by international architecture and design firm Gensler to reflect local cultural identity while meeting the demands of modern hybrid work. Gensler’s design strategy creates a “workplace woven with tradition,” blending contemporary office planning with artisanal materials, crafted furnishings, and regional narratives that celebrate Mexican heritage. Located in Mexico City, Mexico, the approximately 10,700 sq ft (1,480 m²) workplace combines open collaborative zones, focused workspaces, and community hubs that support a range of work styles. Central to the design is a procession from public to private areas through a light‑filled spatial sequence inspired by Mexican architecture. Custom furniture, ceramics, textiles, and carpentry were developed in collaboration with local artisans and designers, embedding cultural storytelling directly into the everyday workplace experience
