Throughout his career, Walter Schacht played a significant role in shaping public spaces and advancing architectural practices that prioritize long-term community value. Building a Practice Rooted in Community and Education
In 1996, Walter Schacht co-founded Schacht Aslani Architects alongside Cima Malek-Aslani. The firm established a strong reputation for its work in higher education, civic architecture, and urban planning, with projects focused on creating meaningful and accessible environments.
The practice became known for combining design excellence with community engagement, helping institutions and public organizations create spaces that supported collaboration, learning, and civic identity.
