Florida Realtors®, the state’s largest professional trade association, has formalized a strategic partnership with the Japan-America Real Estate Coalition Office (JARECO) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed during the Southeast U.S.-Japan Association (SEUS/Japan) meeting in Tokyo.
Framework for Collaboration
The MoU establishes a strong framework for professional cooperation, market data sharing, and global business development. Signed by Florida Realtors® President Tim Weisheyer and JARECO Chairman Masayuki Nakagawa, the agreement aims to enhance professional networking and educational exchange between the two nations.
JARECO’s Role in Global Real Estate
Founded in 2013, JARECO serves as a vital bridge between the U.S. National Association of REALTORS® and Japan’s leading real estate organizations, representing several hundred thousand professionals. The coalition fosters global collaboration and industry growth through research and education.
Economic Context and Global Connectivity
The partnership aligns with growing economic and travel ties between Florida and Japan, highlighted by ZIPAIR’s new charter flights connecting Orlando International Airport and Tokyo Narita from February 2026. These developments are expected to bolster international investment and real estate opportunities.
Leadership Perspective
“We’re proud to strengthen the bridge between our two markets,” said Florida Realtors® President Tim Weisheyer. “This partnership opens doors for collaboration, learning, and investment between Florida and Japan.”
Strategic Significance
With an emphasis on ethical standards, professionalism, and innovation, the partnership underscores Florida Realtors®’ global mission—empowering its 238,000 members to access and leverage international real estate opportunities.
