The Lighthouse is a transformative creative hub designed by Warkentin Associates in Venice Beach, California, just a block from the iconic boardwalk. Set within the restored 1939 Venice Post Office, the project reimagines a historic landmark as a dynamic, Bauhaus‑inspired campus dedicated to modern creators in film, podcasts, digital media, and the arts. By blending adaptive reuse with forward‑thinking spatial design, The Lighthouse bridges past and present. Warkentin Associates
Warkentin Associates drew on Bauhaus principles and industrial materiality—steel, glass, concrete, and honest surfaces—to shape spaces that encourage interaction, collaboration, and production. The ground floor features open‑plan work areas, private offices, meeting rooms, a central café, and a 72‑seat theatre, while the basement houses podcast booths, photo and music studios, test kitchens, and other production facilities. The design’s simplicity and functionality support both analog and digital creative workflows
