WATG and Wimberly Interiors have achieved significant recognition at the Singapore Landscape Architecture Awards (SLAA) 2025, earning two Merit Awards for standout projects in Vietnam. The accolades highlight the firm’s ongoing leadership in destination design, hospitality landscaping and strategic urban planning across the region.

The awards come during a milestone year for the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects, which marks 40 years of advancing design excellence. Positioned as one of the world’s most respected hospitality and planning consultancies, WATG continues to shape resort, urban and mixed-use environments across Asia Pacific.

    Award-Winning Projects

WATG received Merit Awards in two distinct categories:

    • Hoiana Resort & Golf – recognised under Hotel & Resort Landscape for its immersive, environmentally attuned resort landscape.
    • Izumi Waterfront City – honoured in the Analysis & Planning category for its forward-looking urban development strategy.

These awards further elevate Hoiana’s global standing, following previous wins from World Travel Awards and Travel + Leisure Co.

    Economic and Regional Impact

The dual recognition reinforces Vietnam’s emergence as a high-value destination for luxury tourism and sustainable urban development. WATG’s strategic contributions help strengthen the region’s hospitality pipeline while supporting broader economic growth through world-class placemaking.

    Strategic Significance

The accolades underscore WATG’s eight-decade legacy in hospitality leadership. Its integrated landscape, planning and interiors approach continues to set benchmarks for destination-making—ensuring resilience, cultural relevance and long-term value for communities and stakeholders.
